Headline Details: Intended for a sun-syncronous 600-800km orbit with a planned launch for late 2009.The primary mission of SPROUT is to deploy an inflatable tube made of thin membrane in orbit. SSTV pictures of the inflatable tube and observe the behaviour of its deployment will be downlinked on UHF. SPROUT will have GPS receivers to determine the orbital position. SPROUT will also determine the attitude by using 3-axis geo-magnetic sensor and 3-axis gyros. Attitude control experiments will be underytaken with magnetic torquers. SPROUT will have a digi-talker to downlink the voice recorded in the IC chip. **THIS PROJECT IS NOW ON HOLD** For more info see http://sat.aero.cst.nihon-u.ac.jp/sprout/index_e.html
